He's the leader of the very succesful 80s band Huey Lewis and the News. We all remember I Want a New Drug, Jacob's Ladder, This is it, and of course, Power of Love !!!.

After his cameo in Back to the Future, 1985, Huey Lewis appeared in Short Cuts, in 1993 and he had a big role in Shadow of a Doubt, in 1998.

In 1994, Huey Lewis and the News released the album of cover songs Four Chords & Several Years Ago.Huey Lewis has sung with Umphrey's McGee at several shows beginning with the 2005 Jammys and is featured on two tracks of their album Safety In Numbers.

In february 2007, during his interview in Stuck in the 80s, revealed that the band had new songs, that they planned to record in 2008. In august 2007, during a show at the California State Fair, Lewis was named Sacramento's "Musician of the Year" by the fair's General Manager and presented with a gold statue of the California state bear. In 2007, Lewis also recorded a duet version of "Workin' for a Livin" with Garth Brooks.

Huey Lewis and the News oppened the annual A Capitol Fourth celebration, on July 4, 2008, The band performed for half a million people "The Heart of Rock & Roll", "The Power of Love" and "Workin' for a Livin'". The show was watched for millions live on TV.

Huey Lewis and the News still plays in USA, and ocasionally in Europe.
